Inauguration

The New India Movement programme Sankalp se Siddhi was conducted on 29.08.2017 at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Salem of Tamil Nadu District to mark the 75 Anniversary of “Quit India Movement” and doubling the income of the farmers before 2022 through important agricultural technologies. In this occasion the honorable Member of Parliament, Salem Th.V. Paneer Selvam and Member of Legislative Assembly,Veerapandi, Tmt. P. Manonmani participated.

KVK Scientists explained the technologies viz., Bio inputs, IFS, Value addition and livestock farming. Huge number of farmers all over the Salem district participated and visited the exhibition and utilized the  materials and got benefitted.

Pledge All the participants were the requested to take Sankalp Se Siddhi pledge and the New India Manthan - Sankalp Se Siddhi Programme pledge was taken
Presidential address The honorable Thiru. V. Paneer Selvam. Member of Parliament, Salem inaugurated the exhibition and visited all stalls. In this  occasion  released the booklet  and gave the presidential address. Speaking on the occasion, the hon'ble MP drew the attention of the audience to the urgent need to reform and transform India, through a common resolve for positive transformation. The MP said that the Government schemes have been designed to increase agriculture production in the country and also to double the income of farmers.
Special lecture The honorable Tmt. P. Manonmani, Member of Legislative Assembly, Veerapandi while speaking in the occasion expressed her gratitude to the farmers for their active involvement in agriculture, collaboration of farmers,  with extension/ research institute and policy makers for holistic development in the field of agriculture and allied sector in the country.

Exhibition Details KVK, Salem has arranged the exhibition with materials improved hybrid seeds, bio inputs, Trichoderma and Pseudomonas, various insect traps, solar traps, roof gardening models, portray nursery seedlings, kitechen garden see pockets were exhibited and explained. Also other firms viz. Pest Control India, Nilgiris , Sun Agro Chemicals and Kanchamalai millets and pulses farmer producer group exhibited their products.
