JEE Main 2024 Registration Details
JEE Main 2024 registration has been initiated by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Prospective candidates who aspire to appear for the engineering entrance exam must submit their application forms on the official websites jeemain.nta.nic.in or nta.ac.in.
The last date to submit application forms for JEE Main 2024 Session 1 is November 30, 2023. After this deadline, NTA will release the city information paper for candidates, helping them identify their examination centers and cities. Admit cards will be available on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in three days prior to the examination.
JEE Main 2024 examination will be conducted in 13 different languages, including English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
Eligibility for Entry
Candidates who qualify in the examination will be eligible for admission to the National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), other centrally funded technical institutions (CFTIs), and universities funded or recognized by state governments. This examination also serves as an eligibility test for JEE (Advanced), which is conducted for admissions to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
Candidates have the option to appear in either JEE Main 2023 Session 1, Session 2, or both. In the case of candidates appearing in both sessions, the best score will be considered for the final result. There is no need for them to reapply for Session 2, but they can modify their exam center if necessary during the Session 2 window. However, candidates appearing in only one session must complete the entire registration process.
Exam Paper Pattern
The JEE Main 2024 paper pattern is as follows:
- Each subject will have 20 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) in Section A.
- Each subject will have 10 Numerical Value Type Questions (NVTQs) in Section B, out of which 5 have to be answered.
- Part I will consist of 20 MCQs and 10 NVTQs related to Mathematics.
- Part II will include an Aptitude Test.
- Part III will have Planning-Based Objective Type MCQs.
